Greg Hirsch, the Managing Partner of Hirsch & Tucker, LLC in Savannah, Georgia, death at the age of 60 on Thursday, August 3, 2023. Born on July 16, 1963, Greg was a proud native of Savannah and remained a pillar of strength throughout his life, positively impacting his community and those around him.

Who is Greg Hirsch?

Greg’s educational journey took him briefly away from Savannah to the University of Georgia, where he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. However, his love for his hometown brought him back, and he became a Certified Public Accountant, joining his late father, Bernie Hirsch, at Hirsch & Company, a reputable public accounting firm in Savannah. Over the next 35 years, Greg excelled as a Managing Partner, contributing to the firm’s growth and success.

Beyond his professional achievements, Greg was devoted to his community and faith. At Congregation B’nai Brith Jacob, he took on various leadership roles, including serving as the congregation’s president and Brotherhood treasurer. His dedication, compassion, and love for Savannah left a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire others.

Greg was a strong advocate for meaningful causes close to his heart, particularly supporting advancements and improvements for ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) and breast cancer patients. In his leisure time, he enjoyed spending quality moments with his family on Tybee Island, fishing, and passionately following his favorite team, the Georgia Bulldogs.

Greg is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 35 years, Judith Duwell Hirsch; son, Jonathan Hirsch; daughter, Sarah Hirsch Meyer and her husband, Brian; daughter, Lena Hirsch; granddaughter, Bailey Meyer; mother, Marcia Hirsch; sister, Susan Hirsch and her husband, Michael Goldstein; and loving cousins, aunts, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and role model, Bernard (Bernie) Hirsch.

Shiva will be held at the Hirsch residence, 308 Megan Court, Savannah, GA 31405, from Sunday, August 6 through Wednesday, August 9, with daily timings of 1-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Evening services will be held at 6:35 pm daily.
