Born in Danville, Alabama, Tye Thrasher spent his life in Arab, Alabama, where he attended and graduated from Danville High School. He was a hardworking individual who held positions at Sue-Jac Inc and Ascend Performance Materials. His tenacity, curiosity, and quick mastery of various skills were admirable traits that earned him the respect and admiration of those around him.
Above all, Tye possessed an authentic and boundless heart, dedicated to helping others and enriching their lives. His genuine passion for life and infectious sense of humor were cherished blessings for all fortunate enough to cross paths with him.

There is no doubt that Tye made an impact on many people throughout his lifetime. He is the father of my eleven-year-old son, my friend, and has been a consistent part of our lives for well over a decade. If you knew Tye, you knew he always had that big goofy grin on his face.
You knew hewould give you the shirt off of his back and that he was always down for a good time especially if it involved hunting, fishing, a bonfire or any outdoor activity. If he could have lived on the water and paid his bills he would have done it years ago. Our son, Lane, has been his sidekick as long as he could sit up and even more so since he could waddle along behind him to go fish.
His favorite partner, his Boog. In recent years, his mini-me has grown and now is approaching his teen years. This is where the truth hurts. It breaks my heart to have to put this in writing, but through tragic events, while vacationing at Fort Walton Beach in Florida, Tye is no longer with us here on Earth.
We are all devastated at this unexpected end of his story. He leaves behind not only his son, but his parents, step-parents, two brothers, aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and countless close friends and family. He left too soon and in no way, shape or form were any of us prepared to make these arrangements under these circumstances.
Even more unfortunately, there is no backup plan to cover any of the expenses for the burial that he or the family had in place nor life insurance to cover any bills or leave for Lane.
